Fortnite UEFN • Environmental Combat Variant • Gameplay Systems Design

PROJECT OVERVIEW

Competitive Fortnite UEFN gameplay variant built around environmental gameplay modifiers, traversal disruption, and reactive combat pacing.

  • Designed as an evolution of the Galactic Showdown combat system, the experience introduces:

  • moving combat spaces

  • environmental traversal pressure

  • altered movement physics

  • vertical combat flow

  • reactive positioning systems

  • dynamic encounter pacing

Focused heavily on encouraging players to adapt combat strategies, movement timing, and positioning in response to shifting gameplay conditions and environmental systems.

Designed and implemented entirely solo with a strong emphasis on replayability, traversal readability, combat variation, and layered environmental gameplay design.

Adapted and expanded the core Galactic Showdown combat systems to support environmental gameplay modifiers, traversal disruption, and reactive encounter pacing.

Built gameplay systems supporting:

  • altered movement physics

  • reduced friction traversal

  • moving combat platforms

  • vertical combat flow

  • reactive positioning

  • environmental traversal pressure

  • dynamic encounter pacing

  • reactive environmental hazards

Designed multi-layered combat spaces across moving AT-AT traversal routes to create constantly evolving vertical and horizontal gameplay flow.

Implemented gameplay scripting, Verse systems, environmental gameplay logic, traversal systems, and combat pacing adjustments directly within UEFN workflows.

Focused heavily on maintaining readability and combat clarity while introducing shifting environmental conditions that continuously altered player movement, positioning, and combat decision making.

Handled all aspects of production independently including gameplay systems, scripting, encounter pacing, environment creation, traversal flow, optimization, and final implementation.

IMPACT

Expanded an existing combat gameplay framework into a distinct environmental gameplay variant focused on:

Created a multiplayer gameplay experience where movement systems, environmental hazards, and combat pacing dynamically influenced player strategy and encounter outcomes.
